Training sessions on the E-LEARNING COURSE for the transition from conventional to organic olive oil

On April 18th  Svimed, in collaboration with APO Catania “Association of Olive oil Producers” and the University of Catania – Department of Agriculture and Environment, organizes the 3rd session for the presentation of the e-learning course, developed within the European project ECOLIVE “Training for the transition from conventional to organic olive oil”, of which Svimed is a partner, together with these European training institutions: Abigem and Makro – Turkey; Action Synergy – Greece; Eurosuccess – Cyprus and Easky – Consortium of Producers of Kefalonia (Greece).

After the general presentation of the ECOLIVE project, funded by the ERASMUS + European Program, there was a focus on the e-learning platform and the 6 modules deepening organic olive oil, developed by the various project partners, with the aim of facilitating the transition towards “organic”, considering the increasing of markets request about organic products.

This successful event was organized inside of a cycle of training focused on the importance of olive oil chain in the Sicilian regional economy; about 100 students have attended the training, showing their interest to follow the e-learning course, for upgrade their know how about organic olive oil production and commercialization.
